This short Docklands ride highlights the everyday decisions cyclists make when navigating bridges, one-way streets, and construction zones. Rather than optimising for speed or distance, the route is designed to surface where cyclists feel comfortable - and where they don’t. By riding through Guild Street, Mayor Street, North Wall Quay, and across both Samuel Beckett and Macken Street bridges, this example shows how route choice, surface quality, and perceived stress vary block by block in the Docklands. This is the type of real-world evidence the Docklands-first pilot will generate to support safer cycling, better junction prioritisation, and improved planning decisions.
